McGregor played very well tonight. Positive result as well. Here's hoping its the start of better things to come. Bain's time will come and I'm sure he'll have taken a lot from the experience of this week alone.

I'm sorry but that pink strip makes us look like a bunch of jokers I'm afraid (if we're not already!)

It should never see the light of day again.

Disappointed that Bain didn't play but it's good experience for him to be training with the national team. He'll get his chance soon I'm sure.

An away win in Prague will boost our ranking so I suppose Strachan had to make sure we held on for the win rather than worry about debuts.

That was the ideal game to test out Bain at international level. Czechs had most of the game and tested the keeper. Now, we know what we get from McGregor so why not have Bain in there, see what he can do?? p*ssed right off!! Throws on boys like Bannan and Watt, starts with the useless chunt Hutton, but Bain and McDonald (Wolves player of the year last couple of seasons btw) don't get any game time. In the words of Mixu, what's the Fuckin' point????

yeah, looking forward to scotty getting some game time

but very disappointed. surely he could have got at least 15-20 mins?

Think with a 'keeper it is daft to give that short a run out when we're in that situation.

Strachan has a tough job in pleasing everyone and he's got 33 players in his squad over the 2 games. Tonight we saw a few players get game time who merit it (Tony Watt and Kenny McLean in particular) but haven't had the chances recently for whatever reason (some of them injured over a period of time) and we've got Denmark on Tuesday night with even more players who are getting a rare opportunity and look like they have a bit of potential to deliver the goods this campaign.

As much as it's frustrating when it's our player, we've got to remember that the manager has other priorities on his mind and has to be thinking about campaign plans. Bain has went away for a week and trained with top level 'keepers in Marshall, Gordon and McGregor (who we were reminded tonight that he is actually a very very good 'keeper) and trained under Jim Stewart (who is meant to be the top goalie coach in the country and very well regarded). Chances will come again and other players who are getting opportunities this campaign have sat in various squads and been frustrated.

After Mcgregors first half display there was no way Bain was getting on. If he'd put him on at half time or after an hour with the score at one nil to Scotland and we had lost or Bain had made mistakes both Bain and Strachan would have been crucified. Had we been behind after an hour then I think he would have got 30mins. Great experience for Scott and hopefully it's not to long before he gets a game. Maybe a home friendly will be where that happens.
