It's funny how every club always seems to find a ridiculous level of irrational seethe that their player(s) (who in the vast majority of circumstances are inferior) are overlooked.

We mixed in quite a few new players in the squad, faced decent opposition (who we usually struggle against) and won two games with many positive things on show.

Bain is a bit different as a 'keeper (as if you play a goalie who isn't up to scratch, you get punished and it damages them as well as the team) and he's come into his first ever squad and got used to the environment working with three top class players in his position and a great coach. There are three ahead of him and it's unlikely that Bain will be in any demand for a competitive match for a wee while longer but in the next few batches of frendlies (in particular if we get weaker opposition) he'll be in a better position to play. He's not entitled to play.

I don't understand all the moaning about squads. You'd think Hutton plays at the expense of Cafu, Greer is 54 from Tayport Juniors and Watt is an unknown 14 year old just given his first senior contract by Gateshead the way people go on sometimes. There are always going to be 2 or 3 decisions of debate with these sorts of things but it's absolutely embarrassing some of the pish people come out with when it comes to the national team.

Think Strachan has done a decent job to be honest. The one major flaw in his CV being the game in Georgia and even then that was compounded by Ireland and Poland somehow taking 7 points between them off Germany. I honestly thought we were unlucky in the last campaign.

We win fairly regularly under him. His win percentage is near 50%. He's done well against teams in that pot 2/3 bracket that we traditionally struggle against. Poland x 3, Ireland X 2, Czech Republic, Denmark, Norway, Macedonia etc we have all either beaten or taken away points from. If we can replicate that against Slovakia and Slovenia in the next campaign and don't f**k up against Lithuania away then we will do okay.

Think he gets a hard time when IMO he's light years ahead of what Burley and Levein produced.

Thought tierney played well  when he wis on.

Broonie again showed his limitations.

Fir me,too many guys who are no getting a regular gemme at their club always seem tae be chosen ahead o, ithers.

FFS,we,re no a charity outfit.

Whit dis that say tae the ithers.

Heard GS speaking efter the match and hopefully the penny has finally dropped.

Think he thought the Danes wid field a much changed lineup like Scotland, where shortage o, gemmes and match fitness wid no be sae noticeable.

However the Danes seem tae be trying fir a settled side.

Fact,we were lucky tae get awa wi a one nil.

It could easily hae been embarassing!

Ps,Mcginn looked no bad,but could hae done wi  mair help in midfield, and we sadly will hae tae go back tae one up front.
