Just seen someone say he hasn't been injured since he went to Hibs? Can anyone confirm?

Also, imaging leaving us for a first division team.... Again.... Next year.

He gets everything he deserves for the way he was at Dundee and esp the way he left.

I always had a niggle about him that i didnt quite trust him , i said i thought he had "phantome pains" which i was lambasted for , think i can say i was right.

Signs for Hibs and says he now feels like a footballer , deserves nothing but booos if we ever face him again.

I've no problem with Kevin Thomson. The only reason he was ever with us was because he had a dreadful record with injuries. He did a good job helping us settle back into the top division. He was excellent in some memorable, important games, especially the derby win at Dens last April and the opening day of the season at Kilmarnock.

In hindsight it was right for everyone when he left in January. He got back to Hibs and a coaching position. We saved money and were able to settle on a regular central midfield pairing without having to chop and change to accommodate and then cover for Thomson. With Paul McGowan and Nick Ross I think we now have the strongest central midfield we've had in many years. If Thomson had stayed it would have hindered Ross's development. Many fans were sceptical that he could be an effective central midfielder, but he's grown into one of our most important players. The defence was excellent last night, but the performance of McGowan and Ross in front of them was crucial. When we've hammered teams those two players have always had great games. We might have lost a few points persisting with Ross's education in that role earlier in the season, but now we're seeing that investment pay off.

Yes,excellent post. Thomson was an important step up for us in terms of quality.

The development of Ross since January has been remarkable. It also highlights the importance of partnerships in key areas of the park, only 2 defeats in 13 has been in no small part due to the form of Ross and McGowan.
