Still Need Another Win To Make Sure?

9 points clear of the pay off spot with 15 points to play for.

I know the 9 points at the split and relegated is a myth as pointed out on here but surely we need one more win to make sure unless Killie lose the next 2?

Quicker it's mathematical the better for me no matter how unlikely or unthinkable it may be.

Yeah I agree with your thoughts, supporting Dundee has made me believe anything bad is possible so will not relax until mathematically impossible!!

Highest point total in the previous 15 seasons (when the league has been structured how it is) for 11th is 41 points (which we're on) and before that it generally seems to be mid 20s.

Another win to be sure, play the derby as our cup final and then use the rest of the games to field a few of the young players in part (thinking continuing with starts for Wighton and Kerr while also maybe giving time to some of those like Black, Curran and Colquhoun who have been on the bench and are signed up for next season).

I think we got the win we needed to be safe against County. We're effectively on 42 points with our GD so there's no danger of us going down.

I know we're all p1ssed off but its entirely possible we end up in 7th place and on more points than the team in 6th due to the nature of our league. We had a crap game today but we're still a decent team that this morning we were hoping to be in fourth place with.

We had a crap game today but we're still a decent team that this morning we were hoping to be in fourth place with.

Indeed but due to the daft split we can now only finish 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th or 11th and still probably need another win to guarantee it wont be 11th particularly if Killie win their next game.

With us having only won 9 games in 33 in the league this season, I will be able to relax a lot better when it comes. Here's hoping it comes first game in. Genuinely stuff going in to the last 4 or 3 or 2 games when we can still land in the play off spot.

The good thing is that we are all playing each other and will cut each others throats. Should be safe but 1 more win should be enough
