Talking of United, I've been looking at the remaining dates...

Fixture round 34 - April 23
Fixture round 35 - April 30
Fixture round 36 - May 7
Fixture round 37 - May 11
Fixture round 38 - May 14/15

By my estimations we need to probably get United on round 36 or round 37 to have a good chance of sending them down.

Trying to muster up enthusiasm to get some consolation after yesterday.

Could be as early as RD 35 if Killie win 1st game and Utd lose RD 34 game.

Not sure how much manipulation of fixtures there is, or influence from tv. If tv have influence, they'll push for Derby in RD 36 or RD 37 i'd imagine. My gut feeling is RD 34 or RD 38.

50 years of periodic big let-downs, and you'd think we might have developed some immunity to the day-after blues. Management & players need to knuckle down to the routine business now, secure safety asap & give PH some time to prepare for next season....he clearly prefers to do that before close-season begins.

In the ideal world (where our DFC passports don't seem to let us go anymore), we'll pick up the 6 points we need to guarantee avoiding the playoff place in our first 2 games - or maybe just 3 points required, if Killie lose their first game.

Then play the Arabs anytime after that....and give our fans some consolation, of enjoying the opportunity to wave bye-bye to them. :bye:

(no mention of "au revoir"!)

The alternative scenario is simply unthinkable. :sadno:

I see the 2 situations as 2 separate entities.

My joy at their situation doesn't hide the fact I am still pretty gutted about our performance and result.

Their plight shouldn't mask the fact our season has turned into a total damp squib.

Excellent post, we should be looking, to get our own house, in order, before, we gloat, at the Dayglows problems. You had to have been there yesterday, to appreciate how fuckng poor we were, attitude carp, tactics carp, physically bullied ALL over the pitch, not for the first time either this season, some very poor signings, that just don't have it, to play at this level, are getting found out week in week out. Yesterday cost us around £350,000, so unlucky, we will be left with, some of these under performing so called players, for a couple more seasons. That is reasons, why supporters are "DISAPPOINTED" being let down yet again, if you live in a Greenhouse etc, etc.
