St Johnstone "ultras"

Just stuck the St Johnstone v Aberdeen game on.

If we ever end up with a section of "ultras" like that at Dens, i'll be looking at finding other ways to spend every second Saturday for the first time in 20 odd years.

What an absolute minter.

Also surprised at how low the Aberdeen support is regardless of Friday night on the TV. Lucky if there's 1000 of them there. Strange for a team that brags about taking 2500 to Firhill midweek and so on.

Ach, i should really just be thinking, fair play, just a bunch of young lads trying to create an atmosphere but I can't describe how stupid, forced and fake all these ultras sections in Scottish football look just now including Rangers, Celtic, Motherwell and so on.

Loud speaker - check

Drum - check

Flag waving around the whole game - check

Banner with their name on at the front - check

Orchestrated slow clapping - check

Ripping off several other Euopean and Scottish clubs chants - check (they were singing a Hearts song earlier)

50 teenagers jumping up and down non stop like they're on ecto's pretending to be Besiktas fans - check

So glad we have the Derry and not this organised fake stuff.

While us slighter more um, mature chaps are laughing at the wee dafties they seemed to be having a good time and created a bit of atmosphere. Its never been my thing right enough but if you can't be a dafty when you're young........

Right you are chomp, hopefully they've got a few group photo's of themselves in their casual 'gear' 😎 Then in a few years they laugh their tits off when they look back at it. One of my mates is from Forfar, and they all did it to a home game at the beginning of the season up at their bit, looked out all their old smert clobber from back in the day, and had a day on the p*ss, photo of them all was hilarious
