When he first took over at at United he was doing a great job. Forced sales by the chairman f**ked his whole plan for where they were going.

The York job was always a poisoned chalice, but make no mistake he is a decent attacking manager and will come back and do a good job for another team up here.

To answer the OP ..... If oor guid freend Mixu, wi' his thought through plans couldnae dae it,

(class professional, both on & off the park, with an eye for fine detail)

then Jackie widnae stand a chance. Least he left there richer & wiser.

Another good pub quiz question in the making for future years - 'who was the f'ckwit to relegate different teams in the same season?'  Not entirely true I know but an achievement just the same.  I would just skip 2015-2016 in the memoirs Jakey.

I reckon they would still be in the relegation scrap but not 8 points adrift.

Mixu has taken a bad situation and made it much much worse with his ridiculous signings (that were worse in both terms of ability and costing the club wads of cash) and 'revolutionary' tactics.

Mixu has done in 6 months what we have been hoping for for 40 odd years.
