That's the first time in my 25-years of watching Dundee FC that a player has scored 21 league goals in a single season, including all those campaigns in the second tier.  Kane; take a bow son.

Speaks volumes how incompetent Ally McCoist was to let the guy leave Ibrox for Cowdenbeath.

Stength, pace, scores goals with left, right and head, can play alone or in a partnership, scores poachers goals and screamers. The all round striker. Won't be here much longer I fear.

To be fair at the start of the season you could see why he had been let go from other teams.looked lazy and disinterested at times.saw he would take a goal but his build up play was poor.he has obviously worked hard since then to improve and himself and Hartley deserve massive credit for the change in him.

Paul Hartley has said we are no longer a selling club and will only sell players if the price is right, I think we are coming to the point when we will see if his action match his statement.

I know PH is trying to get Stewart to extend his contract and that can only be a good thing, would be interesting to hear how PH is selling this to the players. Judging from the O'Dea signing etc, PH must be selling whatever it is with fairy dust on it.

Think someone will go personally, Kane or Greg.

Watched the goals on Sky Sports News a few minutes ago....both extremely well taken, but in both cases his anticipation of the cross from McGinn & pass from Stewart allowed him to move early & get a yard or two on the defenders. This is seriously good striking play, and is also one of Griffiths skills....early in the season, Hemmings was often caught offside a lot, and it looksl ike he's worked on this a lot, to get the timing right.

Both assists, incidentally, were also excellent. Perfect pace & placed cross from McGinn. Stewart's control, on the touchline, with 4 players around him, was typical of the kind of runs he's been making, selling defenders dummy after dummy.

I thought our central defence seemed very static at Thistle's goal, but would like to see it again.

Earlier in the season he came on as sub against Partick at Dens I think and the guy behind me was giving him lots of abuse , get him fucking off he's sh**e etc , Hemmings you are fucking stinking, Hartley get him off! ......pops up with the equaliser that game and I wonder how that guy feels now?

Everyone was excited when he signed and he was expected to be the goal machine but he obviously wasn't fit enough and did seem to have a bad touch etc.

Now that he has settled, he is absolutely lethal and just knows where to be at the right time. Signing of the season.

There's no doubt I would think, that success, breeds/attracts, further success.

A few seasons ago it would be unlikely that quality players would think that going to DFC would be at the top of their agenda, and be seen as a good career move to advance their career. And it would have been expected that any DFC player who showed real ability would see DFC as a stepping stone to something better.

Now, although we still have a bit to go, I have enough confidence to believe, plans are beginning to take shape and we are now becoming the kind of Club that might be able to hold on to at least some of our better players, as well as attract other quality players. As suggested above, I think the Club & PH, do a very good job of selling the qualities of being a player with DFC.

How times change. And the pendelum swings. I doubt there will be many quality players rushing to sign for that ither club doon the road. And we are now on the up.

Players such as Hemmings, Stewart, and others will eventually move on probably. But maybe no' for a wee while yet. There is lot to like about DFC just now. And today's win has set us up nicely for the Derby. Whatever way it goes, we awe ken, we are the Club that's going to be leading the way in Dundee :)
