Think its about time that we start to give Wighton more of a run in the team. Not saying that he should start ahead of Clarkson or Stewart but he should certainly be next choice after them.

Keep getting the impression that Hartley is very very reluctant to play him. At the start of the season he was keen to put him out on loan, then in games like Utd at the Dump he puts on Roberts up front ahead of him. Then the game on Saturday was crying out for someone like him to come on and make the difference but he turns to first Ferry and then Tankulic.

Not sure whether Hartley doesn't think he is ready for the first team but from what I have seen of him he can definitely add something to the team at this level and is only going to get better and better with playing games.

If things are needing freshened up why no bring him on wi 20 mins left.

I'd agree that at times I've felt like he could add something to games, but it hasn't been recently.  Saturday was his first time on the bench in weeks due to illness / injury or whatever.  With Stewart out, he could get a chance soon, depending on his situation.  That said, Stewart has played more as a wide man this season than a centre forward, meaning IMO we're more likely to get Roberts to fill his gap.

Hindsight is a great thing but I would've preferred to see him come on on Saturday for Stewart. it just didn't work when Ferry came on.

He is bound to get a game at some time this season, injuries will see to that. Think the Ferry substitution on Sat was made because it felt the safer thing to do, rather than sub a forward for a forward and bring on Wighton or Roberts. Is the beginning of a game not easier to play yourself in, rather than coming on for the last 10 -30 minutes, when the idea is to make things happen and provide a new impetus. So might he get a better grounding by playing at the start of games rather than be used as an "impact" player?

I could see Wighton playing well in the same role that Stewart has been playing. Either that or move Harkins to the wide position. Putting Roberts on is always a risk because far too often he doesn't seem interested and it is like playing with 10 men when that happens.

Bringing Ferry on was a poor decision IMO as it gave us no options going down the left side. Hopefully learn from Saturdays game going forward

If McGowan isn't coming back anytime soon, get CW 33 and GGH playing alongside each other as attacking midfielders with Mcalister and Thomson sitting, winning the ball back and giving it to them. Clarky and Stewart up top. There's bound to be goals in that team..

Am liking this idea a lot. In Mcgowans absence I think we are needing another creative spark.

I think Wighton should be given a chance, we need a wee boost and he could be the guy to do it.

I notice our midfield rarely create one on one chances for our forwards, I think he would do this and get a few goals as well.

I think he might have been out with a knee injury recently.
