Dundee team boss Paul Hartley doesn’t think his side have the Indian sign over Hamilton Accies.

Last season, the Dark Blues enjoyed a fair bit of success against Accies, remaining unbeaten against their promotion rivals and pipping them to the Championship title.

That form has carried on this season, too, with a 2-0 win over the top-flight surprise package at Dens Park back in October.

That all counts for nothing, though, according to Paul, when it comes to Saturday’s visit to New Douglas Park.

“No, I don’t feel like we have got their number,” he said emphatically.

“They are always tight games. We expect this one to be no different. It will be very close.

“Accies have been an absolute breath of fresh air to the league this year.

“They have been absolutely terrific. They have done very well.”

On the selection front, Paul has a little dilemma on his hands ahead of the trip to the west of Scotland side, who currently occupy fifth place in the Premiership table.

Striker Greg Stewart and midfield man Kevin Thomson are rated as major doubts for the clash.

And, while the obvious two to step into the fray are Simon Ferry and Luka Tankulic, there is a chance former Celtic and Morton man Paul McGowan, who has been out with a knee problem, could be involved.

“McGowan has done some running this week,” revealed Paul.

“That’s definitely a positive situation for us.”

Also in with a chance is Craig Wighton, who played all 45 minutes of the abandoned SPFL Development League game against Rangers at Gayfield on Tuesday.

“Wighton, he’s a wee spark for us,” said the manager.

“In training he has looked very sharp since coming back from his injury.

“He has been held back by injury recently.

“He has been out a few weeks but is a player I really like.

“Craig brings something different to the team.

“If he continues to show up well in training this week, he is well in my thoughts for Saturday.”

However, things look less positive for fellow member of the striker’s union Peter MacDonald.

When asked how long the veteran front man will be out, Paul said: “With Peaso we don’t know.

“It might be another few weeks for him.”
