Season Ticket Prices

Recommended Posts

we keep hearing people claim that season tickets are to dear, maybe they are, maybe there not, but what price would those that claim not to be buying one, because of the price, think would be a fair price ?

would say £30 to £40 cheaper make them buy it,

I personally think that adult prices are fair, but would maybe like to see some kind of voucher included for discount at cup matches.

when you consider we paid SPL prices when in the championship, yet people were prepared to pay this to help keep our club, yet now for the sake of a few pound they'll refuse to buy one now.

these same people are first to hit the key boards when we have to sell a player, or the caliber of player isn't  to their liken

I have had a season ticket for over 30 years, but ive never bought one to save myself money on the PATG price, ive bought one to support my team, and if I cant attend any match, at least I know ive already contributed.

I think the hike in price between kids prices and adult prices is too much. More of a tiered approach would get more numbers I think. It's a big jump for someone who has just turned 16, has left school and hasn't gone on to further education. Maybe we should consider a 16-21 age group ticket, as well as the student ticket.

Under 16 ticket: £20/annum

16-25 ticket: £100/annum

25-65 ticket: £330/annum

65+ ticket: £150/annum

Price to sell.

We are NEVER going to sell so many season tickets that it will affect Home PATG, excepting for BIG cup games. (I leave out Derbies as The DABS are down forever....... (hope))
Therefore a perceived drop in season ticket income on the surface *could* lead to greater take-up and thus MORE season ticket income.

Yeah, I put that in to do away with *student* tickets as such.
Not *too* many over 25s are full-time students, and if they are they usually have some other form of income. (Spouse etc)

"Of the full-time Further Education students the largest age group is the 16-18 year olds (47%). The second largest group is the 19-24 year olds (27%), followed by the 25-59 year olds (22%)."

The 16-21 or 16-25 concession is a poorly thought out suggestion.

Many people in this age group work and earn as much as some people in the 21 / 25 to 65 age group. Why should they get any concession whilst those slightly older, possibly with young families, don't?

There used to be an unemployed gate where you got discount if you flashed your UB40. Not sure if unemployed people still have some form of evidence but surely these fans would be more deserving than the 20 year old earning £16,000 - £20,000 PA?

Think if you do away with student tickets, you've got to keep the age to 25. Plenty of students start uni at 17/18 (fresh out of school) and at a 4 year course would leave them 22 to finish, let alone the numerous students that start later due to gap years. Architecture & Medical students at 6 years would be 24. Not to mention Masters and PhD students. I'm very glad Dundee include Students in their pricing structure as not many other teams do, and Dundee is a big student city
