Former Dundee director Jim Connor dies suddenly.

Former Dundee FC director Jim Connor has died suddenly at the age of 58.

Mr Connor was on the Dens Park board between 1997 and 2003 when local businessmen Peter and Jimmy Marr owned the club.

He also worked in junior football for Peter Marr at St Joseph’s and prior to that was commercial manager of Dundee United.

Today Dundee expressed their regret at the news of his passing.

“All at Dundee Football Club were saddened today to hear of the death of former Commercial Director Jim Connor,” read a club statement.

“The thoughts of everyone at Dens are with his family and friends at this difficult time.”
