For me Gary McKenzie springs to mind. A lot of Dees didn't like this guy but I thought he was a really good defender.

Which player since 2000 do you think was underrated by the fans?

Said it before.. Always thought Garry Brady was given a hard time by the fans, but actually thought he was half decent tbh not amazing but a no bad midfielder.

Interesting choice DG. You're not the first Dee to say that they felt Brady did a really good job for us. I wasn't a huge myself but then again, I don't claim to know more about the game than the next guy.

I liked McKenzie, awfy raw when he was with us but I could see the potential. He didn't score as many from set pieces as a commanding CB should have but defensively I thought he was solid.

Colin McMenamin was another one that I thought was a better player than was given credit for. I'm sure I'll think of others.

I was a big fan of Coco. Couldn't understand the stick that lad got. Was gutted when we let him go. He was gutted as well, if I remember right.

Yeah tbh cobra I was about 10-11 when he played for us, just remember my dads mate would rage at him constantly haha I was just kinda like 'he's no that bad' he scored a good free kick at home against partick if mind right, bit hazy, might have took a deflection mind you.. :lol2:

Aye, Coco seemed one of those players who genuinely seemed to enjoy being with us. I don't know if he was the same at other clubs but with us he seemed like he loved it.

Coco gave his all for us, his work rate was superb up top chase his own shadow comes tae mind! His last minute header against the farmers at dens in a 3-2 victory sparked utter scenes in the Derry.. Was a great moment

I love having good players who visibly enjoy being at Dens. Kane is one player who always seemed happy to be a Dee, which makes his exit a little bit harder to take.

I don't get that same feeling with Greg. I might be wrong, but I don't think there's any significant emotional attachment. That doesn't make his sensational spell at Dens any less impressive. The guy is a magician and I'll never forget the things he did wearing the dark blue.

No, not hazy at all. He took it quick while the keeper was organising the wall and stuck it in the other side of the goal. Lovely stuff! And agree about him being underrated.

Partick were raging. What more can you ask for?

Jim Mcalister - all those shouts of headless chicken and all brawn and no brain were way off the mark for me.

He was a very important player for us during a crucial time.

Was disappointed to see him leave. Every team needs a JMC. Fit as a fiddle..
