The King Is Dead ..long Live The King !

Along with many others Ive long been of the opinion that in Rory Loy we have a striker capable of stepping up and going a log way to replacing Hemming's should he move on   .

I realise Its Ross County and not Rangers , Celtic , Aberdeen or Heart we were playing  but I thought Rorys first goal today was a proper strikers finish and one he took really well and only confirms to me that we have a striker with heaps of potential on our hands given a run of matches in his favoured position .

Its very early days and A bigger test will be next week of course where it will be interesting to see if Loy can carry on as he has started because if he does it has the potential to not only give us a great base to build our season from but it  may also prove that he is the natural heir to King Kane's throne .

The Point I was making Joe is I held this opinion prior to Kane leaving  .... I am aware Hemmings has now left !

Strikers are all about confidence. Loy is capable of stepping up and being our main goal provider if given time and supported. Hemmings took a wee bit of time to get going as well.

Yup!

Realised that as I hit sent, then hid it immediately... you must have been VERY quick off the mark !!  :)

When we signed him, I think I like many, he was goingbto be our main man, maybe now he can prove he is that, I don't think he needs to prove anything to anyone, just be the player he was when we signed him

Agree 100% with that.

He kept KH out of the team until Kane stepped up through the gears, some have short memories and I wonder why people were writing him off. He was played out of position all of last season.

The 3 goals in 2 games will do him the world of good and hopefully gets a good run in the right role.

Although he would be first to praise Kane Hemmings goal scoring exploits, I would think it's been tough for Rory Loy, watching the man banging them in. And wondering if he is up to the task.  We all know, too much criticism, when things are no working for you, disnae do much for  oor confidence and self- belief

.... (it's as weel we are no the over-critical or booing kind o' fans) ;)
