We've just lost arguably our best 3 players, banking a lot less than many had hoped for. We've been papped out the league cup at first time of asking. And, there is talk of us leaving our spiritual home!

Despite this, the mood amongst the fans seems positively positive. I can remember the dark days when any of the above would have resulted in outrage and despair.

We've come a long way in a short time...long may our resilience continue.

The feeling's positive because the performance last week without the three that have left was, in many ways, more effective and promisisng than most last season with them. It'll be a different style this season and who know where it might land us?

The progress is really starting to show and as you say, long may it continue.
