Shouldn't be immune from criticism today. That was one of his worst performances for us and set the tone for everything else somewhat. Especially first half.

Could not control the ball, find a Dundee shirt with a pass and continuously turned into trouble.

He's an influential player for us when he's playing well and poorly it seems.

Didn't think him or Vincent covered themselves in glory today. 2 CM not at their best gave away possession in our own half countless times. Thibk ross will start ahead of Vincent on Friday. Elbak to start ahead of Duffy also.

Though they were caught in possesion too often, much of problem is that there was no out ball as the forwards were static. One dimension in pace between Vincent, Ross, Mcgowen. Only movement in midfield was OHara. Was not pressed by Murphy today or Williams either.

Agree with that summary.  Thought that McGowan was looking for the ball to play but everyone was covered.  Vincent was just dwelling on the ball for too long, again maybe because there was no ball to play.  Williams and Duffy can play a lot better.  I'm guilty of calling him Murphy as well for some reason.  Great minds and all that.;)

There just seemed to be such a lack of communication too. No one seemed to be telling each other they had a man on, or anything like that.

Vincent seemed to need a touch, a couple of seconds to think about things and then another touch before moving the ball on. By that time he'd lost it.

Agreed.

Seems to detest playing the simple ball or a penetrating pass. Poor today, but typically a driving force for us.

It happens.

Said it before, McGowan is very, very one footed so will always keep the ball on his right. This very often leads to him turning into trouble with no real out ball apart from a more difficult pass with the outside of his right foot. That's why you often see him going round in circles, he's not desperate to keep possession he simply cant pass with his left foot.

Williams was exactly the same today and kept coming inside and into a congested area to keep the ball on his left foot. Cant understand why PH played him on the right and right footed Duffy on the left.

The lad next to me said the same thing during the game.

Crazy.
