I believe when the rule clamping down on play-acting came into being the 'injured' player didn't have to leave the park if the opponent was booked.  Not sure if it was ever changed but would be interested to know the correct history of that rule though.  I'm sure many referees don't know either!!!

My understanding is the same as Kemback1997 and the player that commits the foul needs to be booked for the "injured" player to stay on the pitch. Clearly if the ref was doing his job then D O'D would have been allowed to stay on the pitch and wave bye bye to Forrester.
