Being top having played more games is a useless fact.

Last night's result was better than the previous 2 against Hamilton and achieved without (arguably) our 3 star players from last season and a load of injuries leaving a threadbare squad.

Yup, sack the manager.

Hartley has made a lot of mistakes and we look like we're in for more of the same this season with a 6th to 8th or 9th place finish and doing nothing on the cups. It's where we're at. Don't have the consistency and the defence will let us down for the third season in a row. Add in the loss of 50 goals in Hemmings, Stewart and Harkins and it will be a struggle at times this season.

Despite that, the reaction to a bad second half performance has been way OTT including the opening post and I'm no massive Hartley fan.

Yesterday was a typical frustrating game against that lot but some of the crowd were hysterical second half having meltdowns as usual if anyone dared pass back the way and booing and screaming abuse. I'm not usually one for commenting on the "boo boys" as such but there were some really angry supporters at Dens last night for a draw against a frustrating team 3 games in to the season.

Excellent point 8utters. The type of criticism and reaction to this game is exactly the wrong response. IMO nothing will bring disaster like the supporters attacking the manager, the players etc. Things don't work out and we have to deal with it but I'm sure we would all have been satisfied with 4 points if the manner of earning them had been different.

Some people don't realise how lucky we are to have a manager like Paul Hartley. Let's rewind 6 or 7 years eh?
