Referee Last Night

Notice that because of our second half performance he's barely warranted a mention.

I thought he was atrocious, How Donati lasted long enough to be substituted I don't know. Other instances of blatant fouls by Hamilton players went unpunished.

There's supposed to be a supervisor at every game, if so surely Clancy will be given a break from top flight games after that performance? But then, who else is there?

He was pretty awful but not as awful as we were.

How he missed loy getting taken out in the corner is beyond me.

He was very fussy too.

The Loy incident was shocking as was the push on Cammy right in front of the 4th official. Yordi got pulled up a few times for nothing much more than outmuscling a defender.

Totally immaterial but he also blew up for a goal kick not leaving the box but it was actually a free kick so was allowed to be played short.

Any dead ball kick taken inside the 18 yard box is not actually deemed in play until it leaves the 18 yard box, goal kick, direct free kick or indirect free kick.

Edit - by the defensive team that is, attacking team free kick / penalty doesn't have to leave the 18 yard box.

Clancy was very poor. O'Hara cleaned out by a Hamilton player whilst in full flight, definite yellow card IMO. Play stopped after (I assume) and advantage being played only for it to be restarted with a drop ball??

From memory he didn't give any sort of decision at that incident and just let play go on, rather than give advantage. Hence a drop ball was 'correct'.
