As bad as (it seems) they're doing, they're still somehow in a play-off place. Knowing their luck I won't be doing much shouting about them till the season is over. Still fancy them to come up unfortunately.

I actually think they are f**ked this season. Lots of young/sh*t players, an expectant crowd, opposition who see the dabs as a scalp.

Wouldn't be surprised to see them finish fifth behind Hibees, Raith, Queens and Falkirk.

Speaking to a season ticket holder last night he said their tactics seem to be shoot downhill first half and go flat out for first 45 minutes and hopefully get a lead . Says that they have  faded badly in the second half of each home match they have played.

His analogy was a like an 800m runner doing the first lap fast as **** then eventually finishing last. I said we can but hope :lol2:

Further proof that the numpties next door have a very selective view on the length of time they have existed.

Some half wit (PUTAMADRE) across on the Dark Side of Footymad thinks that if they dont get promoted this season it will be their first time out of the top division for two seasons in a row.

"first time on our history as back to back seasons doon

we need to beat hibs twice and then need other clubs to take points off them

problem being hibs will pummel us with our squad

only good point is thompson has stripped all assets with out investing

he should bugger off next season as the fans wont be stupid again for his pleas to buy season tickets

no chance we are going up......no chance thompson investing to give us a capable squad"

Where the hell does he think they were before 1960. Apart from a couple of brief spells in the top league they were stuck in Division 2. Further proof if any were needed that most DABs think their history started somewhere around the early 80s.

PS. When looking at their history of early failure I noticed the following "After being saved from going out of business in October 1923, the club changed their name to Dundee United in order to widen their appeal." What was all that about and how on earth can they take the supposed moral high ground about our Administrations when it appears they were bust themselves albeit many years ago? Oh I forgot they only came into existence in more recent times, sorry about that !
