I honestly think we're down with the likes of killie, Hamilton, Partick thistle, motherwell with the side we have now. 

Both highland sides are better imo. Saintees too. 

I think 9th is as good as it'll get for us this season and I would take 10th if offered right now. 

Personally I don't think we have good enough technical players to play out from the back now and teams will know this.

Inverness aren't as good as us, they're going to struggle this year. I'd say we're better than Hamilton and Killie and are about the same as Partick Thistle and Motherwell. Which is fine, this is only our 3rd season back up remember... everyone is definitely over reacting to the fact that we haven't paid any money for a player in the last 24 hrs.

Don't think it's over reacting to be fair, if you look at our squad now compared to last season, we're arguably weaker, we've also had a bit of money in recently and had allegedly bid for Mallan which probably raised expectations of signings coming in to replace Kane & GS. 

I'm afraid I cannot see where even half the amount of goals we scored last year are going to come from and also think not making more of an effort to keep McGinn will come back to haunt us.

Some people may be overreacting but some see it how they do which is we are weaker than last season. We are already out of the league cup and the performances in the league are far from convincing. I'm usually very positive and a glass half full kind of person but am verging on a glass half empty feeling for this season.

Early days yet so who knows, hopefully we will have a very good season with a run in the Scottish cup

It looks like we might have our best centre-back pairing in years along with an excellent goalkeeper. We've got loads of midfielders who are comfortable at this level and a couple of strikers who will score goals given chances.

We're currently going through a transition period with the manager trying to figure out how best to set the team up without Hemmings and Stewart.

It's a bit early to say but I think we'll be the same as the last two seasons, going between 5th and 9th with the usual pre-Christmas panic about a relegation battle before we get our act together in the New Year and pull away.

I don't think the Highland teams are better than us. I think ICT could go down. I don't expect there to be much between St Johnstone, Motherwell, Partick and ourselves. Hamilton will probably struggle again.

I think Inverness are favourites for relegation at the moment.

We were on a par with most of those clubs last season, excluding Kilmarnock. Most of us started last season thinking we could challenge for a European place following on from the previous top six finish. In the end we were 8th. Hemmings, Stewart and Harkins have all been replaced in the starting line-up by inferior players in my opinion, so realistically, avoiding the play-offs should be the aim.

Wattie what signings for Caley and Coonty makes you think they've strengthened ? From what I've saw they have both signed pish. I'm glad Hartley is picky and tries to sign players who will improve our side,and doesn't panic buy crap like Caley St Johnstone and Coonty have done.

Have faith.Im sure a few trialists are Dundee bound as we speak

Unless we strengthen the squad I see us in the mix with:

Hamilton

Motherwell

Inverness

Killie.

So far in my opinion both Hamilton and Motherwell should have beaten us. Will be a long hard season and although I agree we will probably lose less goals we will score less also. 

I dont get the comment about people over reacting with regards to not spending money. All I have seen is people showing concern that we have not moved to fill the obvious weaknesses we have in our squad. Areas all previously highlighted by the manager as needing addressed, yet we appear to have done nothing.

We sit in the next giant group of

St Johnstone

Dundee

Partick Thistle

Motherwell

Ross County

Killie

I think Inverness and Hamilton may become detached as the bottom two.
