Whites Bar

Was in before the game yesterday. Just wondering when it was done up as they have done a good job. Got both BT sport and Sky Sports so basically all the live football to watch before and after the game. Good pint of Tennents Ice cold priced at a decent £2.90

Good atmosphere with Killie fans having a pre match drink as well :)

That's good to hear, last I heard it was becoming a bit run down by 'hooligans' frequenting there rather than their usual haunt.

I seen Soapy earlier today on Facebook thanking everyone for making his first Saturday with the High Corner a good one. Think I might nip up there before the next game. Loved the HC as a kid when my oldest brother used to take me up there pre games.

Is his pub already open?? I thought it wasn't opening until October! Might give this a shot next game as well!

Whities has always been my pre match boozer since the mid eighties , a proper Dundee FC pub . Was in last week and it I looked great, such a pity health and safety made them remove the big fire that used to roar in the middle of the pub....I've seen a few tangerines scarves burnt to a cinder in there :lol2:

Very dissapointed in the pint of Tennents that one of my mates and I got yesterday in Whites. Yes it was vey busy but they didn't have enough staff working so the glasses were not getting collected and washed enough. They poured ice cold Tennents into a John Smiths glass which totally killed the pint. My mate had a couple of sips and ditched it. I managed to drink half of it. It was truely boak inducing. Didn't complain as it was that busy.

Went for a pint after the game and they still didn't have any Tennents glasses ready. At least they poured it in a fosters glass so it kept its fizz.

Really dissapointed but will give it another go

That's the biggest problem with the British consumer and has been for as long as I can remember, not standing up for your rights.

If you are not satisfied with the product in anyway in which you have paid for, you are entitled to make a complaint to the management. The law under the Supply of Goods and Services act 1982 (Scottish Common Law) you would have been entitled to a partial, full repayment or a replacement of the product that you have bought.

You should always say something (regardless of how busy it was) and do not allow yourself to accept under par services, regardless if you have paid £1 or $1000 and I am sure the owner would have obliged you in this case. Most companies live by word of mouth, and I am sure that the owner would prefer to have been told that they sold a product that wasn't fit for purpose or consumption and knew you walked out a happy customer instead.
