Turning Tide?

Currently at a local park with the young lad for his football training. 

36 kids here aged 5-8 - some are wearing the boys club training gear and there's no hiding from the fact the most popular strip is s Barca/Real with messi/Ronaldo on the back.

In terms of Scottish team strips though...

6 X Dundee FC

2 X Utd 

1 X Scotland

1 X Celtic

When I took my older son to his first team 6 years ago, there was a majority of Utd strips and although it's a small sample I don't think we'd have seen this even a couple of years ago.

No self respecting Dundee fan would wear a football shirt in town I'm sure (outwith match days of course)

Fantastic. Hope this is a sign of things to come. The longer we're in the league above the better.

I wonder if this interest in Real Madrid and Barca will fade as those clubs are forced to share the TV money with smaller clubs and Messi and Ronaldo start to lose their magic in the next few years.

I used to wear different strips as a kid. I even wore orange at one point  although it was a Dutch one. There are probably Dees and dabs wearing Barca and Real tops. No big deal imo.

I saw a nursery school group in city square who must have been at a sports day. 6 Dee tops, 0 United ones. I was pleasantly surprised tbh.

Personally I wouldn't go into town wearing a football top.
