In talks to become new St Mirren manager.
Its not a PH out thread but its just to show who`s out there as that would be a fantastic appointment for St Mirren (surprised he`s going there)

Would be a good appointment for them. He still wont get them up this season though, so makes sacking Rae a bit pointless at this time of the season IMO.

He enters talks regularly with clubs and never takes jobs. 

He's the old folk who go to funerals they know nobody at for the free food.

His greatest achievement was getting Derby up through the play-offs. They got into the play-offs with a series of lucky 1-0 wins. I was at the play-off final and West Brom tore them a new hole before Derby scored the only goal with a deflection from Stephen Pearson. The joy was short-lived though. Davies spunked £3m on the terrible Claude Davies and went on a dire run. Davies was completely out of his depth and ended up fired. Maybe he'd be a good appointment for St Mirren because he seems to be able to grind out wins at a certain level.

I certainly wouldn't want him at Dens. He's a miserable bugger who can't get on with directors and while he might be able to set up a team to kill a game of football he's hardly the man to get bums on seats.

If PH left or what ever , id take Davies in a heartbeat

The vibe i get from PH in interviews is that he`s quite a dour man as in quite hard to listen too without switching off so bit surprised having a go at Davies.

Yeah I suppose PH does have a dour demeanour but his language is generally quite positive. Davies has a habit of attacking the club he is at, which is why he doesn't usually last very long in jobs.

posters say "sack PH and bring in who" i was pointing out that there are good managers out there who`d jump at the chance to manage DFC like Billy Davies.

Just my take but I can't understand why anyone over the age of 12 would be calling for our managers head after a handful of games and we're a mediocre mid table within a couple of points of where I think most of us would be happy. 

I've said it before and I don't want to come across as condescending but I hope some posters on here live the fest of their lives differently to how they see their football team.

We all want whats best for DFC
Im doubful over PH at the moment , im honestly worried for our status as a top flight team , it would be different for me if i could say "once he`s back" or "once he gets firing" but i just cannot see how things are going to improve - tho i can admit ive been wrong on many things before.
I honestly cant see how this season is going to be anything other than a relegation battle

Only thing that changes that perception is wins , tho in fairness i dont think im the only 1 on here or in the stands of Dens that feels worried about this season.
