We Are Looking For Forum Moderator

We now have a space for a Forum Moderator.

Please note that Forum Moderator is a volunteer position and thus does not entitle you to any rewards etc, mainly you will be doing it from the bottom of your heart and for the love of the community.

We are looking for someone who has had previous experience moderating a football/sports forum similar to the Dark Blues and is currently a member.

Responsibilities as a Forum Moderator:

• Be active in the community by responding to threads, getting involved in discussions and offering your support.
• Keep watch over new and existing forum threads, moving misplaced and deleting inappropriate threads as necessary.
• Help diffuse conflicts between community members fairly while maintaining a neutral position.
• Uphold the rules of the forums and provide feedback on rule changes.
• Help answer common questions regarding the forum software and usage
• Visit the forum at least once a day.

Qualities of a Forum Moderator:

• Be patient, helpful, and always act in an educating spirit, rather than a sanctioning one,
• Be objective and know when to make the difference between his or her opinion as a player, and as a member of the community team,
• Provide a regular presence on the forums, and commit to reading the forums every day,
• Desire to help the community, and get involved in the daily life of The Dark Blues Forum, rather than expecting to get rewards and special treatments,
• Good understanding of confidentiality, regarding confidential information he or she may get access to,
• Be at least 18 years old,
• Have good written English skills.
• Must be an active member with at least 100 posts.

Other Responsibilities Include:

• Keep Spam Off Boards
• Welcome New Users
• Keep conversations moving and on-topic
• Stimulate new conversations
• Help people learn how to use the forum software
• Have a good knowledge and enforce the community guidelines and forum rules
