There isn't a decent chippy within 500 miles of where I live. So if it was, it tasted damn fine to me!

The one I was referring to was Jamie's (if Google Maps is up to date lol), no Vic's, wherever that is. Before "Jamie" had it, and when I was young, an auld wummin ran it and she used to pump aboot a half a metric tonne of salt on whatever you ordered, asking you as she was doing it, "salt?". But I've been to "Jamie's" a few times, and it's not bad.

Just had a quick look, Jamie's is now what Vic's chicken and fish shop was. Haven't been in in it's newest guise, will make a point of popping in sometime after the fitba. 

Murray's in the Ferry is pretty decent, too. 

Is there a reason nae chippy's wrap the food in newspaper anymore? H&S?
