I feel sorry for PH trying to replace  2 proven match winners in Hemmngs and Stewart, with limited finances.

We still have a chance to pull away from a Thistle, Killie and Accies.

The one thing certain is the current set of forwards will not achieve this goal.

It's  essential that we take some points from Hearts and Saints, nothing less than 4 points is acceptable.

We still have a very limited time to pull away from a Thistle, Killie and Accies.

2 points out of those games would be acceptable, but only if it's followed up by 6 from Partick and Hamilton imoIMO

We've only played eight games and three of those were against the strongest teams in the league. We're not cut adrift at the bottom. We're not even in the bottom two.

After Hearts, we've got St Johnstone, Partick, Hamilton, Motherwell, Rangers, ICT, Killie and County. I fully expect us to be comfortable in mid-table by the time we play Celtic again in mid-December.

Aye, Partick were practically relegated this time last season. I for one am kacking myself, we're dooooooomed......OR NOT, still way too early for that bollox for me. I'm still confident of the indifferent midtable obscurity that is our natural place at the moment but hey, its sure its much more fun to go for the worst case scenario.

At times I drift into melancholy about the disjointed, toothless performances we've seen of late - particularly our lack of a striker.

I usually snap to it by remembering that it could be worse. We could be Arabs, flailing around the middle of the championship with Simon Murray the only recognised striker. I then remember we relegated them at Dens in front of a small number of their fans.

I acknowledge that life is good and keep the faith in Hartley for another few weeks.

FTDABs and KTF.

WTF?

I only asked the question of a poster who said we had limited finances.

Do we or do we not?

I'd say after running at a loss for 2 or 3 seasons it would be prudent of the board to avoid over stretching the finances.

That may mean a portion of the transfer fees are held back for the day to day running costs/clearing of historical liabilities.

If people genuinely thought we'd start splashing the cash after our first player sales in years then I'd argue their expectations were unrealistic.
