I remember watching Rab play not long after he signed from Livi and I thought 'finally Dundee have a truly outstanding keeper'. He was better than anything I had seen going back to the 80s. He was so good he changed my perception about what a keeper can bring to a team.

Gordon Strachan would be the one but he left in 1977.

Rab Douglas was a good keeper but when you grew up watching Ally Donaldson and Thomson Allan nothing can match them.

Despite everything that happened since he left I'd go Billy Dodds; probably the best Scottish player at Dens since the wee man himself.

Big Rab for me with Billy Dodds a close second   I loved Dodds as a player at Dens, he was my hero when I was younger. Sickened by what has happened since but it doesn't take away the fact he was a brilliant footballer 

Barry Smith should have won many caps
