Paul Hartley wants Dundee to silence crowd

Recommended Posts

Paul Hartley wants Dundee to silence the Hearts fans when his team head for Tynecastle.

But the Dark Blues boss knows the trip to Edinburgh will test his side to the limit.

However, he believes if his team can keep the home fans quiet, they will give themselves a chance of returning home with a result.

He said: “We look forward to the game as it’s a great venue to play at.

“It’s a tough place to go to.

“A full house with the crowd right on top of you.

“We’ve got to work to our game plan and try to silence the crowd.”

Paul feels his men can look forward to the trip after an intense couple of weeks training since their last game.

He said: “We’ve worked really hard since the last game.

“Hopefully, we can go and get a good result and performance.”

If Dundee are to win the game, Paul feels it is the team’s responsibility to score goals and not just the strikers.

“The bottom line is we have to score goals to win any game.

“If we get chances then we have to take them.

“That’s throughout the team, though, and not just the guys up front. It’s every area on the pitch.”

Tom Hateley has recovered from both his groin problem and the illness that kept him out of training for most of the week

Nicky Low, however, has taken a kick to his ankle and is rated doubtful for tomorrow’s clash.

“Tom is OK after his illness and groin injury but Nicky Low has picked up a knock,” added the manager.

“He felt his ankle in training so he will struggle to make today.”
