Hartley Or Stubbs?

Hartley - The man that took us back to the premier league and has kept us there, brought Bain, Stewart and Hemmings to Dens

Both managers have had a difficult season with their teams at the bottom of their respective leagues with Subbs losing his job after 14 games and Hartley under pressure at Dens

Who would you like to see as Dundee manager at the start of next season?

Stubbs has achieved more but to be honest both love this narrow style so it's much of a muchness for me.

I'm surprised Rotherham have made this decision so soon....they're probably 'punching above their weight' by being in the championship at all. Their promotion under Steve Evans 2 seasons ago was the highest finish they'd achieved in 20+ years, I think....and 2 games in, Evans resigned due to "internal difficulties".

I'm hoping for the next 4 games to produce results to get us back up to mid-table, followed by Hartley finding both the target-man striker he's after, and the magic formula to keep us mid-table.

If, however, this all goes t**s up, and we're still 12th by New Year, it's somewhat reassuring that managers like Stubbs might be 'on the market' if our Board decided to make a change.

For me its a no brainer. It has to be Hartley. Stubbs probably had a bigger budget and was not able to get the team up. He had a big team with a good squad at Hibs, was not able to do anything at Rotheram. Hartley took us up and so far has kept us up.

Stubbs may have won the Scottish Cup with Hibs, but he failed on every other count with them.

And he may have brought Allan back from down south but he didn't bring him through. He was well thought off long before joining hibs

Hartley is still the man for us IMO.

But, if him staying on isn't an option for whatever reason, we could do worse than Stubbs. Could we attract him would be my question.
