I also remember Wullie Kelly vaulting the segregation at the old Muirton and it just kicked off from there. Great days.

I know you asked for memories of Mcdairmid but the old Muirton was a cracking day out.

I remember this as well, Wullie just wandered in and just casually vaulted the small steel barriers and  started getting stuck into the Saints supporters, crazy stuff.!!  To be fair he could have saved himself the bother of vaulting the barriers as if you went through the toilets at the back of the covered terrace you walked straight into the Saints section of the terrace, makes you wonder why they had the barriers up in the first place when you could easily just walk into the Saints section through the toilets:)

Is the said gentleman still with us? Not saw Wullie in years,he  used to be at every Dundee game home and away.

Bottles flying back and forward at Murton the the glass hitting roof and showering everyone. Great days?  Well we all grow up.

Hellish behaviour that has damaged the game to this day.

Chill out man. Of course violence at footy is,thank god,a thing of the past. I think the sterile atmosphere at most football grounds these days is partly to blame for the poor fare we get dished up most games. I was just harking back to a different era, which I will admit I enjoyed much more than I experience these days. The crowds were bigger and seemed more passionate. And am I right in thinking it was cheaper to get in. Great days IMO.

The crowds were bigger because it was relatively cheap to watch football, kick offs were 3pm Sat and no live matches on TV!
