Dundee are now in the same position with Hartley as Scotland are with Strachan. Scotland will wait until we lose to England to sack Strachan and Dundee will wait for some more defeats before we sack Hartley, but the eventual outcome for both of these managers is already set it stone. We are waiting for the inevitable. We are going nowhere and this squad, the squad that Hartley built are not suddently going to turn into a top six team. We are in our third year in the top league and should be kicking on, yet we are actually getting closer to the Championship again. Hartley must go to give us any chance of staying up. Changing manager now would still see us losing games until new year, but at least the new manager would have from now until then to work in getting as many players out as possible and look at potential new signings for January. We need a proper clearout of all the deadwood that we have accumulated over the past year or two.

It was actually St Johnstone that was McNamara's last game. Thompson sacked him in a room at McDiarmid.

Bowman was in charge for the following game when they got humped.

sorry just remember them getting humped fae partick, will st j be hartleys last game then lol !

1. Partick recovered from a worse position last season (without sacking their manager). They took only three points from their first nine games.

2. We've lost five in a row but we knew beforehand this was our toughest run of fixtures this season

3. The manager hasn't lost the dressing room. We could easily have won at Tynecastle last week so there is plenty fight left in the team

So, I would say we'd be daft to fire Hartley before giving him a chance to pick up points in more winnable games.

The cards are telling me that if Scotland cant beat Lithuania or Slovakia, we wont beat England and Strachan will be sacked, and that if Dundee can't beat Kilmarnock, Inverness, St Johnstone or anyone else, Hartley will be sacked. Don't need to be Mystic Meg to see the glaringly obvious.
