Feel a wee bit sorry for the lad. I bet when he signed he had no idea he would be asked to lead the line in what is becoming a relegation fight. I agree he is not ready for top flight football and he probably knows it himself. It's a lot of pressure to put on a player who was amateur only a few months ago.

I've criticised him not just today, but after most games he's played.

Completely agree with your post though mate. The fact he is having to play every week is much more of a problem than a young untried player we've taken a wee gamble on not making it.

agree, he tried his best today and definitely wasnt the worst by miles in our team, alongside so called senior pros.The manager had plenty of warning that we'd need to bring in a good striker yet he's thrown in an amateur, thats amateur management from me. I wish more of our players showed the same passion and fight as yordi does

I feel bad for criticising him as he's a young laddie trying his best but is no where near the standard required currently  

However it is mind boggling incompetence from the manager to build a squad where a player of that standard is in our first team.

When was the last time a 24 yr old amateur came into any club and was a success? This is just PH trying to be super smart.I bet he wouldn't have signed any of Saints players if he had the chance,

I get totally where you're coming from mate, but can't help but mention the name Jamie Vardy.

It does happen. Just not to us!

That's my point Ivan, he has came here expecting to be introduced to full time football and a major step up in class, by being part of the development side and maybe the odd appearance on the bench. Instead he is being asked to supply the goals for a struggling 1st team. He is not ready for this, not by a long shot. But he seems to be doing his best.I think guys like Rory Loy need to step up to the plate. A seasoned professional he should be demanding that starting slot.

Loy is our only recognised striker. 

The fact he's our top scorer this season despite hardly getting any game time shows finally how much Hartley has lost the plot. 

Starting the season with only one real striker was always going to be a disaster.

I get you as well but to say Vardy is one in a million is an understatement. For every Vardy there are a thousand Carlo Monti's or Gary Patterson.

It's not his fault, I just don't think that he is good enough to do the job asked of him and that is only down to one person.... The Manager. 

Another thing I am at a loss to understand is this, why is it that we have a player who this time last year was banging them in before he got injured, sitting on the bench when we are crying out for goals? Has something happened between Loy and the manager to resign him to the bench?

Not going to get many goals for us. Being charitable, it could be said that he might get there in time, but that's a big might and certainly doing very little in recent games.  The first half chance today, he had ample time to pick a corner, but barely hit the ball, straight at the keeper.   Could'nt see where a goal was coming from. Again.
