Dundee boss Hartley looks to Loy and Wighton

Recommended Posts

Dundee are ready to turn to Rory Loy and Craig Wighton for tonight’s crunch clash against Partick Thistle.

Manager Paul Hartley is set to use the two strikers after injury ruled Faissal El Bakhtaoui out, while Yordi Teijsse is also a doubt after picking up a knock.

The manager said: “Rory and Craig come into my thoughts for the game.

“El Bakhtaoui looks like being out for three weeks and Yordi took a knock on Sunday, too.”

If Loy does get the nod, it will be his first start since the Hamilton game in the middle of August.

He started the opening three league games, scoring twice in the match against Ross County, and the striker came off the bench in Sunday’s game to score from the penalty spot in the defeat to St Johnstone.

Wighton, on the other hand, has had a stop-start season up until now, having to be content with only one start in the league and relying on coming off the bench in other games.

The inclusion of these two may also depend on new signing Marcus Haber receiving international clearance in time for the game.

The Canadian international striker was signed on Monday after a successful trial spell.
