Nelms would be picking up his P45 Been in the job 11 years or so. Has he delivered on a new stadium? NO Has he delivered on a permanent training facility? NO Has he succeeded in making the club a stable, continual top tier side? NO Has he increased revenue? I don't know behind the scenes in terms of sponsorships etc. But he hasn't succeeded in luring more punters through the turnstiles..so NO Has he engaged with the supporters? That's a big fat NO. He's let players go for peanuts. He's hired 8 managers. None who have set the heather on fire. Some of whom were absolute dogshyte. I'd give slight pass marks to Hartley (though he may not be a Nelms hire) Gary Bowyer He did what he was hired to do. And I'd also give a pass to the Doc. He kept us up for two seasons .which shows how low the bar has been in recent years. So where is the club now after all the years of yank ownership. On the park? no further forward. looking relegation straight in the kisser once more. Dens isn't fit for purpose. And is, frankly, an embarrassment. Especially for the prices they charge. sh*t facilities. How long will they be able to get a certificate to keep the place open. Dwindling, scunnered supporters who are supposed to hand over cash to watch rookie managers and project players. I appreciate the owners have shelled out a lot of cash to keep the club going. But what have they got to show for it. we may be paying the bills but nothing else has gotten any better. It's like we are sleepwalking toward oblivion. even if they put the club up for sale who'd buy a championship side with a run down stadium? They only hope we have is if. just by luck or the law of averages we stumble across a decent manager next time they are hiring.

It seems that Aberdeen have cancelled their 80mil stadium! THEY'VE been eyeing a new stadium for over 20 years. But after several obstacles including land ownership feuds, protests from local environmentalists and spiralling costs - not to mention being unable to hone in on one site - they have DITCHED the idea for the foreseeable future. Aberdeen first put forward proposals for a new stadium in 2003 when a spot at Bellfield Farm was mooted. But this drew significant opposition from local campaigners. So the club turned its attention to a new site at Loirston Loch in Nigg but this was vetoed by fans in 2009 who wanted somewhere closer to their current home at Pittodrie. Despite gaining planning permission in 2010 the project was abandoned six years later and the new plan was for a stadium at out-of-town Kingsford, which would see an all-singing, all-dancing stadium combined with a football academy and community sports facilities. https://www.thescottishsun.co.uk/sport/13995547/aberdeen-u-turn-shelve-plans-new-80m-stadium/ People think we have had it tough with our new stadium! Phew!

The club will be holding a public presentation and drop in event at the Dundee Ice Arena on the 22nd September between 1pm and 8pm. Part of yesterdays statement goes on to say, "Members of the public are invited to drop in at any time during this period, when they will have the opportunity to review preliminary drawings and talk to representatives of the applicant to find out more about the site, the initial strategic proposals and the processes involved in preparing the planning application." You can read the full press release by visiting The Dundee Official Website. Below is an image of the full site layout with each area now highlighted by a specific number so you can see where each proposed facility will be located.
