Welcome Nick The Eagle

Recommended Posts

Hi NICK THE EAGLE!

From myself and all at the Dark Blues, I would like to offer you a ....... Big, Genuine, Friendly, Warm, Welcome to the TDB Forum.

Maybe we are no always totally free of the odd nippy comments in some posts, but all of us, mods and members, make sure it does not get out of hand. And basically, if I am being honest, there is something satisfying in being a member of a forum, knowing where we are all decent, loyal DFC fans and supporters and here to welcome another DFC and Dark Blue Member.

So, if you feel you need to, take your time to check out posts, comments, discussions, debates...........there is a lot there to digest. But when you do have the time and inclination, if you have not already done so, pop in that first post.

Some new members/posters are eager to get their first post into the main body of the forum (and that is fine) others who are maybe new to forums, are maybe a wee bit unsure.

However, whatever way you describe yourself..... a new, or experienced forum poster, it might help you, (and certainly, us as well) if you could drop a wee post, maybe about yourself, or what made you want to join The Dark Blues, or in fact anything at all that takes your fancy, in this new introductory section of the DB Forum.

This we hope, will not only make it easier for yourself, but also give other members, a personal opportunity to welcome yourself and have a wee bit banter. If you decide to post........ I can guarantee you will get a response.

(Maybe even fae the boss. He is considering cutting doon his working day to 20 hours. So you are helping him keep busy)

On a more serious note, if you have any questions or suggestions, let's hear them.

Hi guys

I've never signed onto another clubs board, but just thought I had to following Tuesday nights event.

I am a 50 year old Palace fan who has being going to Selhurst Park since the 70's. I have even managed to bring two out of my 3 children up as Palace fans. I failed with the 3rd as he wants to be a Chelscum fan. (I will be putting him into care shortly) I just couldn't believe what you guys did for Julian, I have had the pleasure of meeting the great man a few times and he told me 4 years ago of the love he feels for Dee. I didn't understand it then but now I do. You displayed an absolute passion for your club and even joined in with Glad All Over with. BIG RESPECT

At the end of the game I was leaving the ground walking down park road where your fans were coming out (things can get a little tasty here when two sets of supporters clash) I walked down the middle of the road only to have my hand shaken 30 times or more. I was even given a couple of Jock man hugs. You now have a new Dee fan in the smoke. Reading through some of the other Palace fans comments on here I can only echo what they have all said. YOU ARE A CREDIT TO YOUR CLUB YOUR CITY & YOUR COUNTRY. Please feel free and register on our version of this site www.holmsdale.net where everyone of you are more than welcome. (We do have more than our fair share of Dicks on there) but just ignore them and come and share your Speroni memories. Once again thank you for making this such a great night and come on you Dee's for next season. Best wishes Nick

Hi Nick.

Glad that you managed to find the site.

Tuesday was a really special night.Julian is a wonderful humble guy and I had the honour/pleasure of having my photo taken with him.

I have been a Dundee fan since the '60s through good times and bad but as they say I'm a "Dee till eh deh".

Unfortunately I don't get to see them very often as I was involved in a major road traffic accident many years ago which left me with a badly damaged leg and chronic pain.

However there was no way that I was going to miss the match.I live in Bristol and have 4 daughters only one enjoys football however.

Maybe it would be good to meet up sometime and exchange stories/experiences.

All the best.

Neil the Dee
