Im guessing you mean the social club? If so, i would not be surprised sadly. Kind of fell away going when covid hit, now out of the habit of going.

Large property which i assume means high rent; rates; energy; insurance etc etc. How many days a week would it be busy?

Not quite closing yet but its never far away. More regulars required to keep the money coming in and always looking for committee members etc to help keep it running.

Sadly these types of places are unfortunately going to struggle to survive due to changing times. Very important establishments to previous generations but as time goes on the importance diminishes more and more. A real shame.

Ok I bow to your knowledge but I told by a person who works there it was closing soon, hope not adding would the bottom bar be busier if it was punted as a public bar and not a members club?

Just letting you know what it said on the clubbie Facebook page after their EGM

It was close to closing but after Sunday's EGM a new president has stepped forward to take on the running.

Still in the balance longer term though as costs are high with low income and also need new members and committee members to come forward
