I think it's time to stop all the negativity about the club and circle the wagons and concentrate on getting away from the bottom 2 places and securing our place at the top table as IMO relegation would be catastrophic for our club

I have no doubt that most of the players and possibly the doc read these forums and it will be doing their confidence no good at all to read how badly they have played ect

The time for any criticism is after we are safe 🙏

Just my opinion mind you 😌

Having said all that if we achieve safety then the doc will be the Messiah again lol

17 defeats this season and 71 goals conceded so far. Currently in 11th place with 5 games remaining.

The team in 10th has steamrolled us every game we’ve played against them and we need to beat them and others to stay in the league.

We got 6 put past us from the team who sit in 7th not too long ago.

Recruitment has been truly awful. If we do stay up, cut ties with Burnley and these other clubs on the playing front and don’t be manipulated by bringing in untested youngsters who are not good enough.

Doc is no messiah , he’s proven he’s quite a poor manager who got lucky with players who Bowyer identified last season.

The last paragraph sums up my feelings. What do we get out of playing untried, at this level, youngsters against teams fighting for survival? Madness.  Naive. Cheap option.

Everybody on here wants them to survive.  Everybody is worried about that potential catastrophe. We   are all very worried when we see insipid  performances like yesterday, when we are fighting for our survival.

I agree , just don't want the players coming on here and reading all the negativity even if it's warranted 😆

First time on after weekend result and just knew what it was going to be like on here.

Yeah Sunday was disappointing but let's be honest there wasn't much hope of a result there anyway. It's mental the upturn in traffic on here when result doesn't go out way compared to when we win.

Think we are all disappointed at how this season has gone but still pretty confident that we will have enough to avoid the drop.

Did you expect everyone to be happy and in good spirits after a 4-0 thrashing whilst we currently sit in 11th with 5 games to go?

Also, why wasn’t there much hope of a result anyway? Hibs are the in-form team but we’re supposed to be fighting for our lives and had already beat them this season plus we ourselves were off the back of a few decent performances.

Of course there’s going to be more discussion after a heavy defeat , we all hate losing, surely it’s better to have a bit of passion rather than just accepting our fate?

Personally didn't have much hope of a result because Hibs are a significantly better side and on a very good run of form and have been particularly good at home. It was always going to be an uphill struggle.

I don't expect people to be in good spirits and of course there is going to be discussion but the St Mirren thread last week 11 pages and the Hibs one 27. Nothing wrong with having a bit of passion but there is absolutely no doubt that a number of posters disappear like snow of a dyke when we win (that's not aimed at yourself).

Phuck sake we are talking about Hibs not Barcelona I for one was thinking we could beat them.
It’s a pity St Johnstone didn’t think there wasn’t much hope of a result against Celtic.

It was the manner of the defeat. Same old, same old from Dundee.  We are fighting for survival. You would never have thought so yesterday. Never mind, at least we didn't get another six.

Did Bowyer / does Doc do the recruiting? The only player that I can think of who may be attributed to Bowyer is Tiffoney (although there might be others). McGhee, Ashcroft, Kerr, Legzdins etc I’m assuming were Strachan. I’m certain everyone  from Shaughnessy is under Doc’s watch.

tbh it seems like we've moved to a model where we have like two tiers of signing.

One is the cheap loan market or young early pro players which works without reliance on the first team manager and the second being the more experienced senior pro where you'd imagine first team manager would need to be a bigger part of discussion.

I think in theory it makes sense and it'd be crazy to go back to the model of going all in on long term contracts solely around the managers network but we've went far far into the first camp this season and seem to have a very strangely balanced squad.
