Were pinning our hopes on him because he lit up league one but he's miles off it John. Hopefully he takes giant strides forward next season but he's far too lightweight and will be brushed aside all too often in this league. Dont think his touch is as good as some make it out to be either. I'd definitely give him more time but we can't be in a position where we're relying on him to score or create regularly. We need to look elsewhere. I disagree with you on El Bak - he's not the finished article but he picks up good positions and was responsible for every decent final ball we produced tonight. Hes a player but needs to be played with a licence to roam to prevent teams man marking him with their cloggers - he breezed past defenders so many times tonight. Boos when he was subbed tell me I'm not the only one who rates him.

Totally agree, our midfield, are the worst, I can remember at Dens and I've seen some sh**e, over the years, thanks Paul Hartley, for that, as my late father, used to say, you can't polish a t**d,

Very sad to see that. Harsh on Ross who was one of the few decent players tonight

Try the 2 CMs tonight who got demolished! Opinions and all that

I also thought Ross had a good game tonight. He tried to find our players with some decent passes and won a lot of tackles. As for Vincent, he was very poor in my opinion

Gowser and o'hara surely? Ross outside bet. i think Hateley has a place as a squad player too.
Cobra Posted 17 May 2017 Report Share Posted 17 May 2017 How much did James Vincent want to earn his wages from Dundee FC tonight against his former club? Answer: Not very much. Is James Vincent going to try a leg against Hamilton at the weekend? Answer: Hmmm. Time will tell.

It's the worst accusation that can be made at a player, but I don't think the fans will trust him again after that. Should he be released?

I thought he was totally ineffective and was taking heavy touches all over the place. He's definitely got talent and worth giving more time to but I seriously doubt he'll improve to any great degree from where he is just now. He'll pop up with the odd Worldy but his speed of thought is'nt quick enough to make up for his lightweight stature in my book. My guess is he'll continue to be brushed aside and punted about the park next season by most defences.

We'll agree to disagree before you start harking back to "Bombers babes" TBF we could probably get Davo back - he's hyst been relegated to league 1....

We need to see the back of our entire midfield IMO. Feel sorry for Ross this season. Not done enough to warrant a new contract though. Gowser - possibly but he needs to be surrounded by good players. Despite all his bluster, he's not capable of grabbing a game and his team by the scruff of its neck. O'Hara - What is he? I don't know.. Hateley - Passenger all season Vincent - Probably my shout for our best midfielder but still just not good or consistent enough for what I feel we could get. Williams - Non existent. Extremely poor when played. Low - Non existent sick note Have I missed anybody out? Rip it up and start again...
