We are all pissed off after last night but absolutely no need to be a dick.

How many times can you tell one person the same thing? I said more than once that wasn't the point I was making yet that's what he kept coming back with. There is only so many times you can say the same thing. I even asked if what I meant was going over his head and he still said the same.

Did frustration get the better of me? Yes. Probably should of ignored his replies with hindsight. There's been far worse been said on here than calling someone stupid.

That's fair enough mate we all get frustrated at times but perhaps make your points without belittling people who have a different opinion as it puts people off posting on here and impacts the whole forum.

Fair point. It wasn't a difference of opinion, he was interpreting what I said wrong despite saying numerous times "that's not what I mean/I'm saying"

Obviously you can't have differences in opinions to others on here if yours isn't one of "but we played good and it's Rangers/Celtic" or being a happy clapper and just accept that we normally lose to them anyway.

It is frustrating, we should of won last night, and seen that game out with 15mins to go. 2 other posters had said about feeling let down yet again by results like this this season. To which someone said but Rangers have a player that is paid more than our team. All I'm saying is, i feel that is not an acceptable excuse and NEVER should be. Regardless of what other players are paid, we didn’t do our jobs and see the game out with 15mins to go.

It's happening all to often, especially this season and I can see why others like myself are disheartened and disillusioned by it all. I'm not saying for anyone to chuck it but I can see reasons as why they feel like that.

Our defence/defending and game management has been shocking this season. 67 goals conceded and ONE clean sheet(think it's 2 or 3 in all competitions) and we've played teams like Bonnyrigg and Annan. Says it all really.

False plaudits will not keep us up at this stage in the season.

The thing is , if everyone and their dog can see our defence is the problem why is the matter not being addressed ?

I'm not convinced that the defence is the problem, I've read a few posts suggesting similar. Breaking things down we don't have bad defenders, we don't have bad midfielders and we don't have bad attackers but the balance is out. We attack relentlessly, given the opportunity  but we don't have the legs, the experience, the players or a combination of the three to do that for 95 minutes week in, week out. Because of our style we need everyone switched on at all times but right now that's not happening and mistakes all over the park are being punished. We lost a goal at Hearts in the cup where Garza took a shot rather than playing in Adewumi and they went up the park and put the game to bed. Murray hit the post last night when (almost) one on one, the ball got played long, our defender got under the ball and it's game over. On another day Murray scores, Donnelly heads clear or misses the ball completely and we take a goal kick.

It was a difference of opinions.  You think Rangers having better, higher paid players is an excuse for why we lost.  I think it's one of many reasons/contributing factors.

Along with the fact that we defended poorly for their goals, didn't close down properly in midfield, made the wrong substitution and didn't have the quality on the bench to replace clearly tiring players.

Calling people stupid for disagreeing and posting in caps doesn't make you right.

I’m as disappointed about yesterday as everyone else but there is a glimmer of a silver lining. A couple of weeks ago we would probably have settled for draws in the last two games. We are a point better off than that and so edge a little closer to the teams above us. Glass half full?

Defence is definitely the problem in my humble opinion. The goals against column tells you that , this season and last....I had hoped the one place in the team that he would strengthen at the start of the season was the back 4 but the doc neglected it and we are suffering the consequences.

If I'm an opposing striker facing our back 4 I know beforehand I'm going to be getting chances due to the brain farts our defence consistently perform and it because of this our team has to score 3 goals most weeks to get anything from a game.

Midfield defensively was a shambles and TD is incredibly offensive in his approach . Yesterday was crying out ti shut up shop but he gave  away the midfield by going to an 2 and still wanted to attack . He is fighting with 1 hand behind his back as some of the recruitment as bad as it gets and it’s like we are the Yanks wee toy at  times with partnerships etc that have never really helped us outwith a player or 2 .

When on it going forward we are exciting to watch, there is no doubt about that at all. Defence has been poor for a while now as we all know, I don't understand why TD went to 3 (5) at the back last night given our past record I really don't. I would have brought Astley on for Donnelly, take Fin off with McGhee going into midfield and Ingram going to the right. I possibly would have changed Tiffoney for Reilly a lot earlier but that would have meant a slight problem at the end with Murray I suppose. I do believe we are in trouble, I appreciate many believe that if we keep playing as we have the last 2 games we will stay up, I wish I had your faith. I think we can score in all of our remaining games, but other than maybe St. Johnstone I am just not confident that we will win the rest, a lot of that is down to TD's game management. I would not get rid now, there is no point, but whichever league we are in next season I would be seriously thinking about it. I really don't blame the owners, they have backed managers every season with the resources they have, of course they have made mistakes with appointments in the past, and it will always be a challenge for any manager at Dundee but TD has had money to spend, possibly has the best squad that any Dundee manager has had for a long time, and yet we seem to be going backwards. Why sign Samuels, Ingram, Lopez, in particular and not give them consistent game time, esp when we have been playing as we have been just does not make any sense to me at all.

However the manager could have stiffens us up Rev - to continue to attack at 3-1 seemed mad at the time and it proved so . His bench to be fair is poor however there were options to make it harder for them especially in midfield area
