If St J turn us over on Sat, it will be - and the last 5 performances esp defence - have been abysmal. Starting to lose interest - seen this script before and delusion from managers. Playing from the back the other night was so McCann days......

The lack of appropriate signings  for the division and the strict adherence to a style of play  is very McCann-like.

We're going to have to play from the back.  There is no option to go long and have the ball stick.

I think playing out from  the back is OK, if the players move the ball quickly and accurately up towards the midfield. Keeping it back near our penalty box just piles on the  danger if a bad touch or misplaced ball happens. That is what our problem has been. It also requires the central midfielders to make themselves safely available. Something that McCowan did extremely well. Cameron  earlier in the season seemed to be more inclined to do that. Sometimes our possession stats show quite high, but we fart about with it passing it back and sideways, seldom getting anywhere,  until an error occurs, we go under pressure and a centre back  clears the ball upfield. Sometimes not even good enough to be classed as a long ball, more a panicked hoof.

Not yet for me. Doc stays, beat saints tomorrow and begin to put points on the board again . Cup run continues. Regroup in the summer . Relentless optimism when it comes to this club . It’s difficult just now tho

Thought year’s rolling contract meant that at any time he will be entitled to 12m salary compensation. Don't know.

Ah yeah OK.

So it's an even bigger no, then.

If we were to sack TD now, I would guess that a worst case scenario we would be due him 4 months compo (I think he joined is in June). However, it is plausible that a contract has conditions attached where it can be terminated (manager sacked) with a fixed notice period e.g. 2 weeks. For example,  “Being in bottom 2 at split” or “After 7 consecutive defeats” etc.

That was my original thought.

Was always going to reserve judgement until after the Saints game. A lot of games still to go. Let's see..................

But Docs league record doesn't instil confidence: P66 W17 GA128

That's his total record as Manager for us.

I'm quoting the League record only.
