Roughly, How Many Games Do You Attend Per Season ?

Wee while since I've been at Firhill, but it is a good away day.

I suppose my lack of enthusiasm for the further away days stems as much from my brother having stopped going to any games. It's not the same heading that far on your own and some of my days out on the supporter's buses have not really been my thing.

I know what you mean about going on your own, I've been to Dingwall once on my own, my mate shot through at the last minute and I thought "sod it, I'm going anyway". Bit odd but an experience. I used to go to a fair few games on my jack going back a bit, I didn't always know when I would be here and didn't know as many Dee's either, so had to tie a bit of cheese round my neck so the mice would talk to me.  :tears:

I don't know where you stay but the Fife Dark Blues run some buses and we're a pretty 'mature' bunch, its not a stereotypical supporters bus, depending on the game we pick up outside Edinburgh and also Livi, if any of these are of use to you and you fancy it get in touch, PM me if you want to know more.

I haven't lived in Dundee for over 25 years and apart from a couple of years living near Edinburgh in 91 to 93, it has been either London or overseas for me and my family. As a result, I have probably been to no more than 25 games in the last 20 years. I went to every home game and many away games in the 12 years before I left Dundee in 1989. In fact, as I was going to Africa to do voluntary work, the Telly did a piece on me and made a big thing about me missing the football team more than my family. Mum and Dad weren't too pleased. It wasn't entirely untrue though.

I'm not sure what the purpose of the original question is. I won't insult you by suggesting that you want to judge someone's commitment or love for the club by the number of games they attend. I follow every game however I can, hate it when we lose and felt the same pride during the Deefiant season and at the Julien Speroni testimonial at Selhurst park in May, as the rest of us.

I'm sitting in West Africa just now waiting for the Hamilton game to start and I don't know what to do with myself. I'm annoyed that it is not being streamed but will still get that little boy excited feeling as we get closer to kick-off. I really thought I would have grown out of that by now, but if anything, it is getting stronger as I get older. The same happened to my dad, who in his older age and after 20 years following Dundee (because his four sons did) went back to his first love, Celtic with a vengeance.

Long may it continue. 'Mon the Dees

Chalk and cheese, I enjoy my Thistle away days, they're Mrs Roots fave away day, mostly because she can get a burl round the shops before getting the clockwork orange out. The stewards are friendly and there are some decent boozers around. Celtic park on the other hand.......

Really enjoy Thistle as well.  Easy to get to, easy to park up and have a beer and a right friendly club.

Night and day with the likes of Hamilton imo.
