Always liked Demel back in the day and you could see in the New Year derby when he had the ball that he's got class. But there is only so good you can be when you can't run.

All those boys will be on big wages no doubt about it. Think Thompsons strategy was "if we go down then we are absolutely f88cked". So he's fired a lot of money on players who should have been much better than the players around them. But it's just not worked even slightly. Love it!   :D  

Think it is fair comment to say that our league is not as bad as people from particularly England think it is. How often do we see a player come from down south from a decent club and completely struggle. I can barely think of any (certainly recently) who have come here and you could say they are clearly too good for Scottish football. Patrick Roberts at Celtic is probably the only one.

I was at the Man City v Stoke game on Saturday and honestly Dundee could have given Stoke a game. City didn't have to be at their best to win 4-0. I've seen enough games at the Etihad and Maine Road over the last 30 years to realise that English football is more hype than pure quality throughout the league.

[Cobra]

Stoke were fantastic earlier in the season when they beat Chelsea, Man City and Man Utd. Arnautovic and Shaqiri looked world class at times. They seem to have downed tools the last few weeks though with nothing to play for.

I think our defence would struggle badly against the teams in that league. The pace, movement and strength would be too much.
