Relegation incoming! What happened to the Mccowan money? the estimated compensation due for Mulliam and Camerij? The money we got for Celtic progressing in Europe?

Everything is pointing towards the budget being reduced drastically.

Also the 6 figure sums for the transfers of young Dees down south.

Re. the transfer monies we've received in the past season - we've more than spent that previously so it's not like they can be accused of asset stripping.

Where did it go though?. Our debt wasn't reduced and we didn't use all that money to cover costs. With the McCowan money, Seb and Ally Graham money, the Celtic money plus the million that's due for Cameron and Mulligan (I know that's not in the bank yet) your talking a fair wedge. We didn't significantly increase the playing budget or significantly reduce the debt. I'm not looking for every detail of our finances but when you're selling your top asset for 7 figures and not replacing that asset it's not unreasonable for your customers to expect transparency.

There are way too many variables to make a judgement on whether they are asset stripping or not (cause that's what's being alluded to) i.e. how much of the transfer fees due have been paid?  Where did the significant amount needed to redo the pitch come from?  The money to pay off Docherty and so on?

There are a multitude of things to criticise FPS for but I've never thought lack of funding for the playing side was one of them.  It may simply be the case that Keyes has had enough and is looking to get better value for money.  Or he is banking some of the transfer money for a rainy day.

I'm not alluding to anything I'm just asking a question. The only criticism I'm aiming in their direction is a lack of transparency, that also ties in with the lack of communication and engagement.

The pitch didn't cost £3m plus the pitch was of their doing, they choose to ignore the obvious issues, used a sticking plaster approach and paid the price.......or we did.

Docherty didn't need to be sacked so again that's on them.

Remember most transfer fees are paid in instalments, so I doubt that they have received all the money. The Josh and Cameron money hasn’t even been agreed yet

Yes pitch would never be that much. It was ironic too that there weren't too many floods last season to test it.

I am starting to wish that we had kept TD and that Nelms had told him they needed to fix the defence pre season. Last chance etc.

I would have said that the huge problem that Docherty never fixed was the midfield.  Only Sylla, Cameron and lately Portales made contributions that helped us last season, all three never playing in the midfield together. Needless to say we have lost them all. Digby  hasn't been overly impressive and the others are not SPL level from last season. Whilst there is a lot of flack going Pressley's way, he isn't to blame for this situation. We suspect that we are not paying competitive wages, Pressley was appointed and stayed away for another ten days. Two friendlies arranged. Just awful organisation. Pressley is right that we are not ready. He is having to field teams with players that were unhappy having in the side last season.

He says he's had to change his way of playing, intimating that the players ain't good enough to play his style. Says we are not gonna be near finished article for Hibs gemme FFS. Should be talking team up and not undermining players confidence publicly, saying they aren't ready has a defeatist attitude. I have the fear big time for Hibs gemme, not a feeling I had much under Doc, even when facing the cheeks I was optimistic we had a chance of something. The first 6/7 gemmes are gonna be watched with head in hands I suspect, the learning curve must be steep or we are in deep sh*t with Elvis in charge. Hope I'm way off the mark here guys......

As much as I wouldn’t ever have SP as manager given a choice, the situation with the team / players is purely down to the club as a whole. SP has obviously been duped into believing the club was in better shape and had some level of assurance he would have funding to reshape the team. I don’t rate the Manager but it’s not his fault.

Had a decent contract offer been made to those OOC players it’s possible some may  have signed on again once our fate regarding league status was settled.  However when Doc was fired that chance was out the window. Nelms has been evasive for years as far as fans are concerned, but vindictive when challenged especially with D4L. He took control of Dee TV, He tried bullying D4L over the special shares. The adverts placed for various back room vacancies over last couple of years indicates more than one change of direction, bottom line is there is no stability. Nelms had us believing  that Dundee would buy back Dens Park when opportunity arose as part of their plans to get fans onside. They let us all down, and when they eventually did buy Dens it’s not Dundee FC who are the owners, so its purely to use the land as a bargaining tool for their Campy plan, but more likely a cash generator if they decide to pull out.
