We would be daft not to realise that we are still in a serious position, after our brilliant first half we allowed United back into the game, similar to recent fixtures that we went on to lose. It’s something the manager needs to work on, we all knew the Dabs would go up a gear and we should have had a better response Imo.

United threw the kitchen sink at us as expected. Goodwin chucked on attacking players to try and salvage the game and had pressure as expected. How many clear cut chances did they have taking into account we had a couple chances as well

Would also say that first half was as big as a massacre as any of the two 6-2 games. Back then before var we go in HT 5-1 up. That's us sitting 2nd bottom of the league

IF we had gone in at half time 5-1 up how many arabs do you think would still be in the stands for the whistle sounding for the start of the second half?

The team bonding week seemed to work so possibly something wasn’t right in the players head and hopefully now that’s sorted , pity it’s Rangers next but I still have faith in Doc to get us out of this

Still the best manager we have had in a long time and would be a very big mistake if he was punted

On another note , crowd was bang on 13,000 , wonder what the odds were for that  🤔 or was that where the Utd crowd tombola landed on this time ?

I think this is correct but i also think still not being able to field our strongest side due to injuries had a bearing on that second half .

A big  part of the  success in that first half on Saturday IMO was the way we closed down united , particular the front 3 of Tiff , Si & Adewumi .

The level of energy they put in to that first 45 was always going to be difficult to maintain as the match wore on so that , coupled with the fact United were always going to come in to the match at some point ,  meant  there was going to have to be a real resilience shown in that 2nd half because we simply didn't have the bench that you feel could have came on to maintain the way we had been playing .

In an ideal world as that 2nd half played out you would bring on Scott Fraser to keep the ball and just take control of that middle of the park but again due to injury we didn't have that option .

I've not been slow to point the finger at where i think Doc has made mistakes so i think its fair that on the weekend I say he pretty much got it spot on from start to finish given the players we had at our disposal

Watching the highlights when we scored to make it 4-1 (obviously it was chopped off) but  loads of them were walking down the stairs leaving the stadium. I wonder if some of them ran back when var chopped it off or if they just left anyway?

Just catching up with Doc on the PS podcast this week talking about the match and experienced players and losing his Captains this season.

'I had my Captain Luke McCowan taken away from me'

We have 3 really tough games before the split and beating St Mirren will be a must win game for me . Rangers could be got at with an aggressive performance next sat and Hibs have been flying recently so would need the same to get anything there

Neil Lennon being appointed as manager of Dunfermline Athletic tomorrow, who are second bottom of the Championship.

But we shouldn't contemplate changing managers, as who would ever want to come to Dens, seems to be a regular opinion every few seasons.

TD has rightly earned another few weeks after the excellent derby game, but lets no kid ourselves that we are lucky to have who we have, there are always alternative out there.
