Agreed. Docherty was a respected and inspiring guy who you suspect that players would want to sign and play for.

Now I could be wrong and I'm maybe being unfair but I don't think that is the case with Pressley.

This docherty that not one player resigned for, despite being offered contracts?

And he couldn't sort the defence and only secured safety on the last day.*

*I'm not saying Elvis is the answer

Under Docherty we had the chance of winning games of football every week because we pretty much always scored, we don't look remotely close to doing that now and we still can't keep the back door shut. I'd bite your hand off for Docherty back.

I tried to refrain from the Docherty in/out camps.

That said he's not in control of what the club are willing to offer by way of contract unfortunately. He did talk his players up considerably either to try and convince the board to push the boat out contract wise or try and get as much external interest as possible.

One thing that's a given though - if you are gonna press the button and empty a manager, you better have something better lined up.

In this case it appears that albeit early doors,  they 100% have not.

I wanted TD sacked, loads of reasons that are pointless going into. However, had he remained, I don't think anyone would have been angry or dismayed by it.

I made the mistake, that I usually make, and believed blind faith hoped, that we would get the next appointment correct. I should know by now that that is utterly stupid.

Had TD stayed, I doubt we would have been beaten by Airdrie and Alloa. Anyway, its just blind faith that we will sack Pressley and get someone decent for a change....

We had to score 2 minimum to even get a draw,I dont like those odds.

Unless Pressley walks i think we have him for the foreseeable and he won't want to admit defeat so early.

As to the team I think we need a minimum of 2 CMs and a LB.

I'd try to cut some of the current players either out on loan or permanent where we have a surplus like with the keepers and at CH and spend any savings on recruiting good quality players for LB and CM. Another wide player would be good if possible.

Sharp, Clark Robertson and Donnelly are probably surplus to requirements.

Joe Shaughnessy on BBC this afternoon saying that players he had spoken to ( including Simon Murray) were very positive about SP and his training. You would like to think that this is the case, but we all know players on media try to keep things as bland and uncontroversial as possible. Upsetting people in the Scottish football bubble doesn’t enhance your long term employment opportunities. More interesting/ annoying was the comment made by Peter Levenkrands .Talking. about Rangers prospects for the season he spoke about the need to win and the difficulty of doing so on bad playing surfaces like at Dundee. He was not picked up on this ignorant remark by the host(David Currie)I think. Shaughnessy mumbled something about the new pitch but didn’t really correct Levenkrands. Just one more reason to hate that horrible club and their ex player apologists.

Fergie couldn't get this team to win. f*ck all to do with whatever managers in charge. No good players apart from a couple total shambles

How many will we need to score under Pressley?

Bearing in mind we couldn't even score 1 against Airdrie or Alloa.

This^^^^

Keyes should be encouraged, by everyone, to realise that having a team that can play in the new stadium is even more important than building the development.

If Elvis doesn't get the players he needs then what's the point of building a football stadium.

Definitely would not sack Elvis now.

Now we can't score and can't create anything.

We can’t even get 2 shots on target.
