This might be a daft question but how come Premiership clubs can afford to kick off without fans? St Johnstone, Livi and Accies surely need income from gates just as much as ourselves, Dunfermline and Raith.

TV & Sponsorship income guaranteed, plus (likely, I'm guessing) a PPV deal to get a fair bit of 'gate income' covered.

There's a fairly big gulf down to Championship income, but a huge drop to the majority of teams in Div1/2.

English Championship, League One and League Two play-offs are taking place end of July, start of August. I'm glad some teams in play-off spots fought for their chance to get promoted.

Instead of getting ourselves ready for our play-off semi with Ayr we'll be doing f**k all and we might be stuck in limbo until 2021.

It is possible (it's a guess) that we wanted to pursue the playoffs, but neither ICT nor Ayr were interested. The potential 11th SPL club certainly wouldn't be.

It is possible but it's very odd that Nelms didn't so much as mention our promotion play-off in any of his statements. Neither did any press report suggest play-off teams were rejecting their only chance of promotion. The only reasonable conclusion I can draw is that we assumed the offer on the table was the only one there would be and didn't make a fuss.

The promotion to the Premiership for 2020/21 could be the most significant one in living memory as there might not be a route into the top flight in 2021/22 if clubs go bust and games can't be played.

The SPFL's crazy decision to inform us that a U-turn would flip the vote was the perfect opportunity for Dundee to press for the play-offs to go ahead (like in every other country). I don't see any evidence we so much as raised the possibility.

But do you see evidence they didn't ????

The desire to kick of the PL season in August is being driven by Celtic. They are now demanding the fixtures are released 'as soon as possible'. In the current environment, that is simply not possible.

I suspect this is to do with Champions League money, which is what gives Celtic the advantage over Rangers. It dwarfs the TV deal and allows Celtic to monopolise the Scottish game.  If the Scottish PL can't play behind closed doors and the new season is subject to a challenge by Hearts, there's a chance Celtic won't be able to play their Champions League qualifiers, this is complicated further by the UEFA's need to finish last seasons European competitions.

Difficult to determine the actual fundamental from Celtic, but their wage bill is extraordinary and could well be giving them issues, which they'll never admit to.

I fully expect Hearts to be accommodated in the next few weeks, whether that involves us also remains to be seen. It's a very invidious position. Nelms needs to be careful.

Rangers have already taken the SFA to Court. And won. The key to this was the Court of Session in Scotland ruling it does have jurisdiction and that supercedes the SFA or FIFA Articles of Association. This was an important ruling. The Scottish FA is bound by the supervisory jurisdiction of the Court.

Despite what you may have read (a lot) on here to the contrary, Hearts can take legal action. This could get messy. The main issue is time. If Hearts apply for an interdict to stop a new season starting then it could cause mayhem. It's  the SPFL decision under examination, so firstly Hearts can appeal to the SFA. If this goes against them they can then go to the Court of Session. And possibly appeal that also. This is a lengthy process, especially in the current climate. This is situation FIFA do not want because clubs can disrupt entire seasons. Hearts won't care because that is likely to happen anyway.

Another issue is that the SPFL member clubs must share the legal costs, as the SPFL do not hold any cash reserve. Again, I really don't think Hearts will care what the repercussions are to other clubs given what's happened to them. Hearts may not even have to win any court case, simply taking legal action may cause enough damage for clubs to agree on some kind of reconstruction.

They should fine if it goes to Appeal Court. Good few Jambo judges in Edinburgh

Did it not pay for new stand? And Budge is owe a large amount too as she lent the club money as opposed to giving them it

Hearts have been very generously backed by mystery benefactors. Nine million pounds contributed to the cause in three years according to Ann Budge last December.

The same ones that are offering Doncaster multi millions of pounds to help lower league clubs.
