Midfield. He has Braybrooke, Finn, Cameron. All similar type players, but Finn isn’t good enough I feel.

Braybrooke will get better, he has talent, but we need height in midfield too. Fraser has to get match fit, but he will need players running off him.

Mulligan who just can’t meet anywhere near his potential.

Reilly, who spanked league 2, but can’t get a sniff.

Cameron on the whole is a very good player, still learning but not a ball winner. He covers every blade of grass and has an engine on him. He fights.

Now if Sylla is out, McCowan gone, the doc has some serious issues now.

Sylla, Joe, McGhee, all out. Key players.

What about the keeper(s)?

I would prefer Carson as I think he is a better shot stopper. I think McCracken kicks a very decent ball. The ones that go out are targeted wide, almost certainly under instruction. He doesn't want these to fall short or we will lose possession in the middle of the park, which I would guess is the reason for the targeting wide. I think that percentage wise we are safer dealing with opponents throw ins at the half way line than fighting second balls more centrally 40 yards  from our goal line.

I also thought Braybrooke was much stronger in the tackle in the second half. But that was true of most of our midfield. Presumably because they all got a rollicking at half time.

His set piece delivery was shocking throughout though.

As for Ingram. His delivery into the box at times was embarrassing.

Maybe not a rollicking...but TD woukd be unhappy.

I think it is a criticism of Murray - he needs to work between the goals . We had plenty of width and he’s our striker . It’s maybe in part to do with the different systems we have played recently causing confusion or maybe wearing the arm band has him trying to hard to impress and help us score but the reality is him being in the middle increases our chances of winning . He’s not offering what he was at start of season , backing in getting us up the park , free kicks , being a nuisance on the box .

He does need to get back in the box, but he was on his own a lot. I feel that he needs either Main or Seb with him. He has the big lad whose name I can't remember with him up the road.

I agree proven with White at RC - so maybe Main would be helpful to him . We are definitely missing the quality he showed earlier and it’s like he’s trying to hard . Maybe the armband does not help either

Who set up the attack we got the penalty from?

I guess if McCracken did his primary job a bit better, he wouldn't have to revert to a sceptical hoof-ball, 2 minutes from half time.

As I've said many times before - some people just need a boo boy.

I suppose if Curtis Main isn't doing much wrong the next target gets singled out.

The same hoof ball that got Main a goal v St Mirren

Can someone explain to me , why goalkeepers & in fact, all players, show a wee bit more diversity?

Does each player have to be known, as, the long ball/short ball expert/ long throw-in expert, hoof it up the park experts build-up moves from the back type experts? It would require additional training/teaching/focus, for individuals & teams etc...

But are there not areas all around the Park, where the unexpected, would/could confuse opposition, & pay dividends:chaplin:
