Nelms also negotiated a deal with Macron, Utd and Scotland rugby to take have a shop in the empty unit on the corner of the train station (Opposite the V&A) to sell the Macron stuff separate from the club shop / Provan Sports. It was the main reason we pushed Utd in getting Macron. No idea why this never happened

dinna kid yourself...i pop in and out of a lot of sites that have fans from various clubs i also know and am good friends with a lot of united fans....trust me they are just as much of a shambles off the park as we are...they just have a better PR department than we do.

I have lunch with eight of them every month and they list stuff they do better than us, and I agree with them.

of course they do...they just wont admit that there will be things we do better than then...the boys i know and speak to say they are a shambles off the park...their shop is a shambles,the way they sell tickets is a shambles,the boy ashgar wants to fight boys on twitter for having a go at him or the club...they are exactly the same as us but for some strange reason the media still think they are a model club

Joking apart, gedee (you were joking I assume) we simply don't do good PR whilst Utd do. 

Also, to be completely fair, we probably need to look at ourselves to know better why we are so unliked - not always true but there is usually no smoke without fire and we have certainly given the media a fair bit of kindling over the years to stoke that fire!

Was thinking about this- look at the Team v Rangers Sharp, Kerr, Anderson started-Mulligan & Robertson on bench-all came through the youths? Maybe broadcast that a bit more.

The froots would have a full page advert and Ashgar would get 6 pages in Tully/Courier

Agreed mate - we simply don't do enough on marketing ourselves in any way.  The 'everybody hates us and we don't care" stuff works both ways.
