Can't say i am looking forward to this. Aberdeen are on a roll and will be backed by 4200 sheep. How many more Dees over and above our ST holders will be there following our last 2 performances and the higher PATG price.

Pity that Fraser and C Robertson may not be match hit to be considered.

Hopefully C Robertson is deemed fit enough to start. Although it would be 2 left footers at CH I'd be tempted to rest Portales who's been a bit dodgy lately.

The way the fixtures have panned out, Aberdeen haven't faced any of the bigger challenges yet, and no team, apart from Celtic, can sustain a run like this. They'll drop a point, or three, very very soon.

Wouldn't say they've been that convincing, fortunate at times, but of course we'd love to be in their shoes.

Not too worried about Saturday, get that bubble burst lads!

Despite feeling deflated the past few weeks, I am weirdly optimistic about this one.

It just feels like the type of game where we turn up and get a result. We haven't turned into a bad team overnight and I think the players and manager will be desperate for a reaction. We have generally been good at Dens under Docherty too.

Aberdeen have played 2 proper away fixtures to St Johnstone and County. Winning both by a goal and were very lucky to so in the county match. There is massive expectation on them now and this is their hardest fixture of the season so far on paper. Like others have also said, I don't believe any team outside Celtic are good enough to continually win every week.

Fancy us for at least a point.

I am also getting the feeling we may get something from this game.  Aberdeen are playing well, there's no question about it BUT, they have played against St Mirren and Kilmarnock at home after both teams were in Europe, Motherwell at home who were all over them towards the end of the game with an injury-hit squad and then Ross County and St Johnstone away who team like Aberdeen and ourselves are epected to beat.  Throw in the cup run where they have had an 'easier' draw than most, it is not exactly what you would call a tough start to the season.  That being said, they can only beat what is in front of them so fair play to them.

Their dangers for me are the left-side of their team.  Guaye is on fire and is extremely direct and powerful.  Knowing we are relatively weak down that side, I am sure they will look to exploit that.  They are a big, physical side in general and I think we need to be careful from set-pieces too.  McGrath is a top player when given time but I hope Sylla can stick to him and minimise his space.

In my opinion, the weakest part of their team is the defence and I would be looking to have Murray and Main on the pitch as long as possible to get at them.  If we stick with a 433, then I would be tempted to move Murray out left with Main in the middle and SPH out right.  3 powerful players but also Murray and SPH are more than willing to help out defensively.

433/451

McCracken/Carson
Ingram (if McGhee is unfit)
Portales
Koumetio
Larkech
Sylla
Mulligan
Cameron
Murray
Main
SPH

Got a funny feeling we may see a back 3 again with Robertson coming in. Don’t know why just a gut feeling.

Agree. The back 4 has been leaky. Not done the back 3 since the opening game but TD has said it’s his preference. With Robertson hopefully fit I think he will go to Portales koumetio Robertson.

Our fans love an excuse not to go,before the county game everything was rosy. Two away defeats at tough venues and now nobody will turn up.

I will say though, prices are a joke. Designed to fleece the away fans. But it's worked.

It's basically the same Aberdeen team from last year, minus their star striker.

Nothing to fear at home, they have been lucky in a couple of games. Bring it on I say.
